Azumanga Daioh is similar in energy to Toradora!, and everytime I watch Ryuji's teacher homeroom teacher Yuri, I cannot help but be reminded of Chiyo and her friends' homeroom teacher Yukari; uncanny resemblance. Azumanga Daioh is a little more absurdist than Toradora! and has no specific plot, and is a little more low-key at times, but if you enjoyed Toradora! I definitely recommend Azumanga Daioh.
They're both comedies set mainly in high school with unique casts. Many specific aspects in Toradora! resemble those in Azumanga Daioh. However, Azumanga Daioh doesn't focus on relationships between boys and girls as Toradora! does.
Both ToraDora! and Azumanga daioh are school comedies. Honestly, ToraDora is not as good as Azumanga (hey, i'm just speaking for myself) so if you like ToraDora you'll love Azumanga Daioh. As also, you may notice some qualities that are the same.
