Similar wacky humor and endearing characters, though Galaxy Angel is way more nonsensical! I feel like the cast of both series are really lovable and cute without feeling forced, and Galaxy Angel doesn't have any recurring pervert characters (something I consider to be a plus against Azumanga Daioh). Both are also (mostly) episodic and easy to jump in and out of.
