Both shows have similar style of animation and character design (especially main girls characters are similar by appearance). Both of them can be considered like parody on school life with ecchi moments. They have similar kind of humor and in both is also cute male cross-dresser.
Same dementiality, similar characters (the violent girl, the sweet girl, the crossdresser...), both have parodic scenes, but MM! shows them in a more "pervert"way.
Comedies in a high school setting. Both have male lead characters who are at one way or another at the receiving end of things. They also are fond of shy female protagonists (Taro with Arashiko and Yoshii with Himeji).
