They have a similar brand of humor, and they both pull it off well. The characters are parodies of common character archetypes.
While these two anime have different settings, they are both comedy anime with a similar vibe. The main protagonist (Akihisa Yoshii and Mao Sadao) in both series are pretty stupid when it comes to women and reality. They both have a similar style of humor and are very hilarious to watch. They also share similar voice actors in the Funimation dub (Josh Grelle voices both Akihisa Yoshii and Mao Sadao in the Funimation English dub of both shows). If you liked one, you'd like the other.

thyeyre both extremly funny,one deals with not so smart highschoolers to a demon king who works at mcdonalds. they both hve fighting and most of all insane laughter.(dont watch to much in one day you might gain contagous laughter)its hard notb to laugh at verything and everyone
Hataraku Maou-sama! and Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu. Two anime with very strange (but hilarious) titles. How do these relate to each other? Well both main characters (Maou in Hataraku and Yoshii in Baka-Test) are both clueless when it comes to girls, or reality.
