Weird plot, weird characters and over all weird CGI with questionable artistic choices.
Both anime feature very strange characters and plot(?) along with slightly unsettling 3-D animation. I'm pretty sure if you like one of these titles, you'll like the other.

Much like director Ryuuji Masuda of Popee, Naomi Iwata specializes in full CG anime, with Gregory Horror Show being some of his best. GHS has this incredibly strange atmosphere, invoking similar feelings of weirdness that Popee does, but on a more mysterious level. It's not full of crude humour like Popee, rather it mainly focuses on Horror elements. Story is full of bizarre encounters and scenarios similar to those seen in Popee. Would highly recommend Gregory Horror Show if you liked Popee.
