both shows have a similar atmosphere and left me with a peaceful feeling - awkward girl mc and popular boy mc - sweet ost - similar pace - friendly characters / ones that get in between..

• Both are story about friendship and young love. There are lots of cute and heartwarming moments throughout the story. • Doesn't have any fanservice and teenagers in both of this anime feels like actual teenagers, people can relate themselves with this characters.

they become close friends with a specific boy after their first meeting LITERALLY THE MOST CUTEST AND FLUFFIEST THING ON THE PLANET, THEY'RE BOTH WHOLESOME AND MADE ME GRIN UNTIL MY FACE HURT both guys "wouldn't mind" if the mc (girls) had feelings for them in both shows, there's ALWAYS that one friend that gets/tries to get close to the mc because of a boy "they" like (the boy is hanging out with the mc).

Both are very light hearted romance anime featuring awkward FLs

If you love slice of life and romance, especially with a slow burn between a sweet, popular male love interest, and an awkward and out-of-place, but deeply kind and loving MC, who is surrounded by a girl-gang of wonderful besties, then I think these are a pretty even match. I will say that if you're really craving the shoujo sparkles and deep introspection that you'd get from Kimi ni Todoke, then you might be disappointed, but I honestly think it's worth a watch.
