Misunderstood. Impressions have a lot to say about an individual, especially when two parties don't directly speak to each other. Sawako and Maika understand such a life as their unsettling superficial features does the talking. However, their lives change when they encounter an individual who looks at those qualities as something that shouldn't bother them.
Kimi ni Todoke does this with Kazehaya taking Sawako for who she is, as they go on their time together at school. Blend S does this with Dino taking in Maika to work in the maid cafe, whilst using her facial features as an add-on Cafe Stile's characters.
Both are good anime
