Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun

Though the Heroine of the Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun is uncaring compared to KNT's heroine, the experience and story it portrays are extremely similar. Experiencing different feelings for the first time, learning to make friends, enjoying High School life to the fullest, etc...

Awesome romance anime
Both guys are cool but in Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun, Yoshida Haru the main protagonist is pretty badass but not very good at making friends because he can be scary sometimes whereas Kazehaya Shouta has a lot of friends but he finds it hard to express his love.
If you liked one you should definitly watch the other! :)

The way the stories unfold, the way the characters develop in both the anime are pretty similar. Also the art works are pretty same. So anyone loving tonari no kaibutsu kun would love kimi ni todoke and vice versa!
Both have girl who was isolated but then learns the value of friendship
Both have the same genres - shoujo romance school
They have the same feeling between the main characters, development is goin faster than kimi ni todoke though
-similar animation style
-similar characters
-KNT has funnier animation though
-tonari's plot is more complicated than KNT

They are honestly just very similar in many ways...Both are romances, of course. There are also side romances as well as the one between the main characters. You will also like this series if you liked KAICHOU WA MAID-SAMA ~
• Both have girl who was isolated but then learns the value of friendship.

Both girl protagonist do not have any friends at first and meets a guy who trys to get clost to them. They are charged my the guy who they soon fall in love with and by the new friends they meet along the way.
Basically, both stories are about a girl who distances herself from others (Shizuku does so to focus on her studies. Sawako does so because people are afraid of her) then suddenly, a certain guy (Haru for Shizuku. Shota for Sawako) befriends her and helps her open up to other people.

Both have some unique Romance style and comedy. And they both have they charm to entertain people.
Slow burn romance. Female protagonist who's shy and inexperienced meet a guy who's pretty and cool. The guy from TNK and the girl from KNT are scary and they don't know how to make friends. Kimi ni Todoke is like Haru's point of view (girl version).
