Kowarekake no Orgel

In Chobits, the main male character finds a persocom that has been thrown away. Similarly in Kowarekake no Orgel, there is a male character who finds an android that looks like a human. The persocom and the android are child-like so the male characters watch over them with care.
Although short, both series deal with the interactions between a human and a robot in a slice-of-life style. Both series features a female robot who feels lonely without her owner and always wants to be by his side and please the protagonist.
Both series are touching, funny, dramatic, and contain sci-fiction themes.
They're pretty much identical. A man happens to stumble upon and takes home a beautiful broken android that suffers a memory malfunction, unable to remember their previous owner and their past. Both androids are incapable of functioning normally like other models of their kind but the man teaches new things to them like performing menial tasks around the home. Lighthearted in the beginning but becomes very dark in the end. Both are a must watch if you like human/machine relationships.
