Romance between human and human-like robots, and the struggles that come along with that kind of relationship are portrayed in both shows. Although I think Bokutsuma may be simpler, I find myself reminded very much of Chobits while watching it.

Two sci-fi romcoms about a man living on his own with his affectionate female robot.
The two robots in both follow through strict manual instructions but along the way would go through some kind of change in behaviour no longer acting as just the standard robot.
Main difference is that Bokutsuma's MC is a working salaryman whereas Chobits' MC is in college, also there is more drama and a deeper lore in Chobits whilst Bokutsuma has its serious moments but generally pretty calming and is more on just the daily life of a dude and his robot wife and kid.

Both shows is about a guy and his robot waifu. While Bokutsuma is obviously inspired by Chobits. They have similar a premise and support characters, but Bokutsuma still manages to stand out with its approach.
Both series are about a self-aware android waifu but with rapid development in AI, Chobits feel more like an 80s scifi, where as the worldbuilding in Bokutsuma is way more belivable.
Overall; They are both good RomComs in their own way, but Bokutsuma feels more mature and modern compared to Chobits.
