The actual content of these two shows differs greatly—one heavily incorporates fantasy elements and the other is much more slice of life—but I think they give off the same type of vibe.
Kobato. and Looking Up at the Half-Moon are both sweet love stories with similarly understated art. Both usually fall on the humorous side of things but can easily make you cry. The main characters are very focused on the healing of those around them rather than on themselves, and the love stories featured have limited time to blossom.
I love both series and find them to be heartwarming & delightful.
