I can't quite put my finger on why Blue Gender reminds me of Gantz. It may be the characters, the style, the adult-orientedness, the sci-fi, the constant fighting, etc... In general, both anime "feel" the same.
Warning about Gantz though...has nudity and sex in it...I just skipped through the parts though and it was fine.
Blue Gender has sex, violence and good old fashion monster bashing, it differs from Gantz on a Gaming level and being death but overall, I promise that if you like Gantz you'll like this anime, hands down. Also, if you see a reconmendation saying that this series here >>> Zaion: I Wish You Were Here <<< is similar to Blue Gender, thats just bull crap because personally, as a man who loves blood, sex, and monster bashing anime, Zaion: I Wish You Were Here is nothing like Blue gender.
