Both have similar animation styles thanks to Madhouse producing both. They both also have similar plots.

They have a very similar style, dialogues, and feel to them; in fact they're both produced by Mad House and have the same director, Osamu Kobayashi.
In both the protagonist wants to change his/her life, grow up, and mature.
Beck focuses on music and is male-oriented, while ParaKiss is a Josei series and revolves around fashion (but music is also present, thanks to Arashi).

Beck and Paradise Kiss have the same kinda feel. They are made by the same producers and kinda have the same drawing style. Also, both series are about fame. Beck is more about music, Paradise Kiss is about fashion. They are both really great and enjoyable. Still though, Paradise Kiss is josei (shojo) while Beck is more seinen/shonen.
