A lazy and carefree man is put on a spaceship and has to find his own motivations for being there. Tylor's and Shiro's ways to find their journey's meaning include interacting with people of various social classes (or various planets, in MKT) and different thoughts on space travel. Both main characters are on a journey to get to know the world they live in, the same world they aren't used to care about.
They also share a similar type of comedy.
