They give of the same vibe as each other. The anime story telling is similar too. This is just based of one episode. But i believe Ryuuou will turn out to be very similar to Saki once we get to see more.
So far i would recommend both if you like the one of them.
Both of them take an asian (japanese, even though it's extremely similar to chinese xiang qi and ma jiang which i play) game, add some supernatural/fantasy elements and turn an otherwise boring game for old men into a shounen-like anime with action! both of them have their funny moments, and as of episode two, I can see both of them headed the same way.
