This may seem like a strange recommendation, but hear me out on this one. Hyouka tells the story of a Houtarou, a high school boy who solves everyday mysteries along with his friends. Digimon Adventure on the other hand has less of a mysteries element, but the connection the characters have as friends has a quite similar dynamic. In the beginning of Hyouka, Houtarou just doesn't want to deal with any other people, but slowly becomes friends the people in his club.
