Established mascot characters featured in short episode ONA's aimed towards children go around the world.
Probably the main difference is that Kuromi can speak and is featured going around Earth where humans reside whereas the Bananya's only speak Banyaneese and you really only see other Bananya's too throughout.
Kuromi seems to have more of an established story going around different locations on Earth whereas Bananya they just end up wherever on the planet its set in with not too much plot behind it other than to be cute.
