Summer Wars

While quite different in substance, both share a theme relating to family. Summer Wars is more action-oriented while Tsumiki no Ie is about cherishing memories while at the same time learning how to move on. Also, Tsumiki no Ie is 12 minutes long. Despite its short run-time, Tsumiki no Ie portrays an incredibly potent story and is easily a masterpiece.

Family. The central theme of both stories, but comes from two routes in telling the importance of such.
With Tsumiki exploring the loss of family and the nostalgia that comes in memory of the people who were loved the most. Compared Summer Wars which shows a gathering of family and how they can overcome any situation with the bonds they share. One's shows a meaningful remnant of the past whilst the other takes the present and makes use of it, it's a powerful thing in each section of time.
Both are good stories I'd recommend if you want a theme of family.
