Both are action anime with badass female characters in which the main villains are an organization that genetically enhance humans, creating beings (Borners/Witches) that have supernatural powers but require special pills to keep themselves from dying. They have similar themes and a few of the same voice actors (Hakko and Kazumi are both voiced by Emily Neves, for example).
Only one of the main characters (Canaan/Neko) has any kind of fighting ability, with the rest of the cast providing support of some kind. Also in both cases, the heroine ends up facing off against a dark reflection of themselves.
