The theme of girls with guns comes into play in both of these series as well as superpower. With loaded action, battle OST, and drama mixed in with comedy, both of these anime(s) are something to keep an eye on.
Both anime are very similar, being action anime with a lot of gunfire in foreign lands featuring white haired females. Expect arms dealers, gunfights, organized crime, international sleuths, terrorism, and beyond. Canaan follows an investigation taking place in China, which leads to a lot of action and mysteries. Jormungand is about international arms dealers. Both anime are really incredible and showcase the feats of this anime genre well. Canaan has some sci-fi elements, whereas Jormungand is more focused on military exploits and crime. That said, both anime feel very similar and deliver on the same viewing pleasures for fans of the niche.

Both have white haired female protagonists, both contain a character raised to kill since they were children, both share a team of rag tag "heroes", both have a lot of action and some politics, and both give an interesting (or at least interesting take) message/idea. The only difference between these two is that Canaan came first. I recommend these both.
