Duh. Both show girls in a positive fashion, are animated by Toei, and have very similar plot designs (new villains replacing defated villains, cute mascots, learning the power of teamwork/friendship, etc.). If you like Pretty Cure, then there is no doubt that you'll like Sailor Moon.
What's come to be known as the Precure series likely wouldn't exist today if it weren't for Sailor Moon, at least not like it now is or as soon as it is, yet the same can be said of many Magical Girl series due to Sailor Moon pushing a few boundaries regarding expectations. Precure in it's own right started it's own trends yet is still an ongoing series, although with multiple incarnations of the same concept. Other series have attempted copying it's success. As such, both these Anime provide a good look regarding the progress/history of the Magical Girl genre.

Both Sailor Moon & Futari wa Precure are created by Toei, has magical girl concept similar to Sailor Moon. It's directed by Daisuke Nishio of Dragonball Z fame.

Precure is more child-friendly for below 9 years old girls if

Magical girls beating episodic villans through the power of magic and friendship. Precure takes inspiration from Sailor Moon and both of these franchises became the classic mahou shoujo of their era. If you're a fan of magical girls, you shouldn't miss those.
Both have similar plot designs-- the girls must find and protect an object from evil forces to save the world, with the help of alien companions. Both shows have a strong emphasis on friendship, and both were animated but Toei Animation!
Both r kinda like power rangers meets magical girl
