In both anime, the main character meets a mysterious girl and the pair finds themselves in the middle of danger (in Another, a deadly curse - in Denpateki, a string of serial killings as well as a cult-like prankster group). The investigations build up similar atmospheres; though Denpateki is a bit more serious than Another, they both take a look into the psychology behind the characters and each has its fair share of death/gore/crazy people/plot twists. Both of these anime are dark mysteries with gruesome deaths involving high school students.

Two works of terror, carried out by 2 school boys, a strange girl, which the protagonist suspected of her. These kids are wrapped up in the mysteries that live around them, and will try to find an answer to their questions. A supernatural air can be felt by mixing the anguish, the terror of the human being and the daily life of the characters trying to keep going, although they hide chilling secrets, after each death, after each case

They are both of the mystery/horror genre, although another has more horror and also a supernatural element that Kanojo doesn't have. They both contain plot twists and somehow give a similar vibe. Although Another is a lot longer.

Both have an ominous aura, even though “another” is much more dark. On one side you have “another”, which is super gory with some nOice mystery/investigation themes in it. then you have “denpa-teki na kanojo” which is good because it also has that feel of mystery/investigation. What drew me in “denpa-teki” was it's female protagonist which both had that uncertian feeling, you know that feeling of not knowing if she's on the good guys side or the bad guys's At first in “denpa” there's a female protagonist who you don't really know where she came from, just like in “another”, but she quickly loses that. and on the other   read more
