Both are very dark, beautifully animated, and have spiritual/paranormal feels. Both involving a girl who at one point wanted to severely harm/kill the male protagonist but then learned to love him.

While watching Cossette no Shouzou, I recalled Bakemonogatari because, in my opinion, they have major similarities. First, both have quite a significant role played by dialogues and are slow-paced and somewhat philosophical. Second, in both, dialogues are supported by visuals (effects and views). Next, both involve atmospheres of darkness, investigation, and mystery. Also, both have a romantic storyline with the hint of supernatural. Last, the overall impression I got while watching these two is that they are quite similar, so if you've liked one of them, try to check the other out.
