Medieval fantasy story about two persons (eventually three in Frieren) traveling northward to go back to somewhere they've been meaning to travel to, whilst having adventures and getting to know more about local communities and about each other. There's a bit of romance in Frieren between the two kids, and Spice and Wolf is all about the romance between the two main characters. Both series are slice of life themed and have a slow-ish pace.
