In both titles, the protagonist is an immortal warrior. Memory loss of the protagonist and his search for his forgotten deeds in the past and characteristics in the present an important part of the story. This story progresses slowly, which leaves the protagonist some time for reflection.
The hero's adventure takes place in a more (Casshern Sins) or less (Kurozuka) devastated landscape.
If you want to see an immortal's melancholic quest for himself, both titles may be for you.
