The Dangers of My Heart is like if you gender-swapped Komi and and Tadano, made the pacing a little bit more even, and the themes a little bit more mature and grounded. It starts off with Ichikawa being a complete edgelord--he wants to apparently "kill" Yamada, because he hates popular girls. But this fades away quickly when he realizes her kind facade isn't a facade at all, she's just genuinely a very nice person.
