Both series deals with the idea of solving puzzles. Oh but that's not all because the main protagonist is quite cunning, intelligent, and values his friends.
There is plenty of drama, comedy, and action involving the games present in both series.
Furthermore, there is opposing groups in the series that causes trouble towards the world as well as against the main protagonists in the series.
Competition just got that much more damn difficult.
