Although the art and plot are different, both animes are about a girl, who is surrounded by bishies, trying to make it in the world of show biz. Although the humuor is different, if you liked one you wil like the other :D
Also, even though, its kind of irrelevent, both animes have weird and excentric caracters as the ones in charge of the school (uta no prince sama) / show biz (skip beat)
They're both about a girl who wants something to do with music.The difference is that in skip Beat Kyoko did it for revenge and in Uta no Prince-Sama Haruka wants to write a song for a idol who indirectly helped Her out. The both have a guy named Ren and Shou though i don't think The ones in Uta no Prince-Sama are rivals. Their Both really good.

Skip Beat and Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love 1000% are very similar in that they share the same type of alluring call to those who are trying to make it big. Although I'd say that the artwork in Uta no☆Prince-sama♪ Maji Love 1000% is much better than Skip Beat, I enjoyed Skip Beat's plot much more (Although be warned that it doesn't really have much of an ending)

(Uta no prince is much much beater then skip beat....skip beat was kinda lame but uta no prince is a good anime )
Both are in the show business and find "love' in the show biz. Both female leads bring out the best in one another.
