If you like one of them you may like the other one. The action is similar and both animes have some kind of organization who trying to make human superweapons by using weird power sources to dominate the world, parasites and "Akira" (psychic power).
I think if you like psychological animes you will like Akira more and BAOH if you like animes where the victim are on the good side and have a better personality.
Both anime feature an organization which experiments on young people in order to turn them into weapons. In both anime, the people who were experimented on escape and start wreaking havoc. Both have have action and gore, as well as a similar tone.

Baoh is basically Akira. The story of Baoh is really similar to Akira, with an big project of the gevernment to create more powerful humans and the story of an human who escape of this.
