Both of these series use an android/robot type of main character that helps humanity from a war that had started prior to the events. Girls' Frontline has a more lighthearted feel to it and tries to put a more comedic tone at times. On the contrary, BRS:DF doesn't try to do that, it has much darker and heavier feel and scenes that seemed to just get heavier the further it went on.
