Same beautiful artwork, amazing setting and delicious scenery. Both have simplistic and overall basic plots. Both focus on some serious topic (war/prejudice). Both have romance between the main characters. Both are happy feel good anime.

Similar to the magical Studio Ghibli film Howls Moving Castle, Patema Inverted takes you on a trippy ride. Both films have characters with their own unique backgrounds and development throughout the film. (Also, the art is freaking amazing) Patema Inverted is worth your time and will take you on a wild adventure filled with unexpected twists and turns, and will send your imagination upside down and right side up repeatedly ;)
