Both are fun loving comedy type anime's that involve the main character trying to become a "Star" basically. Each finding her own way to becoming famous while going through bumps in the road.
Both anime's portray a deep sense of passion and desire for following through with your dreams. In both the main girls must overcome obstacle after obstacle pushing themselves forward, befriending and competing with there rivals, and inevitably, making it to the top. They are both fun and very uplifting and make a great watch for any fan of one of the series.
both people are new in their area of show biz. Although for different reasons they're really passionate about their performances. They have the same character progression and meeting talented people along the way. if you like one you'll like the other.

Both are shoujo series that follow a plucky, spirited young girl through her career in show business. Through hard work and her never-give-up attitude, she perseveres to become a star in her industry and forms many complicated relationships along the way. Skip Beat has a developing romantic relationship, while Kaleido Star focuses more on friendship and rivalries between the performers both on and off the stage.
Different styles but the protagonists hold the same strength and will within them. They do not writhe in the face of difficulty, and even have the time to cheer up for those around them.
Comedy is far more highlighted in Skip Beat! but through different abilities both stories work within the entertainment world and the hardships to reach the top between other competitors.

Kaleidor Star is similar with Skip Beat in main characters. Girls, who have a big dream that smoothly switches into a big aim, realize it step by step. They're growing professionally during the plot despite some failures. They have difficulties on their paths and sometimes feel down but they don't give up and diligently go ahead.
both stories are focused around entertainment and also an mc going through alot and still is determined to go through the challenges no matter what.
