Watching Nagi no Asukara brings back feelings from watching Toradora. They are similar in a way that characters in both animes are caught between valuing friendship and their romantic loves, and choosing between the two. I liked the diversity of the personalities of the lead characters in both series. Both have good plot progressions.
Very beautiful art styles and involving other themes of acceptance, segregation and love. Both are very conceptual shows that are both worth the time to watch thoroughly and to enjoy.
In my opinion, Nagi no Asu Kara (A Lull in the Sea) is Toradora! with a supernatural twist. Both feature a love polygon where multiple characters fall for the same person. Both also have a theme of friendship and romance. Where sometimes characters are willing to sacrifice their feeling for their friends.
