Well, both animes have yokai and the main characters, Demon Eyes Kyo of the Mibu Clan and Rikuo Nura, look similar in their transformations. Also, they both have a sweet alter ego that turns into a sword wielding yokai killing alter ego. In the subject of alter egos, both characters' alter egos can be considered the alter ego of the other.
