these have VERY similar storylines, their is a masive enemy that threterns the exsistance of humans and their is 1 human who has the ability (like some others) to turn into one of the ''enemies'' and as the story progresses, some of his former friends turn against him and try to hill him where as others stay faithful.
characters are also very similar, the main characters are hot headed and impulsive and they both have a female companion who is timid but remains on their side throughout.
as i said, very similar and both ust as enjoyable as the other.

I honestly don't know what to say here without giving away anything for either series. Just trust me, and I'm picky with my anime, if you like Attack on Titan as much as I did, and enjoy anything by Ghibli and series like Last Exile, you'll really enjoy X'amd: Lost Memories
