Both comedies that use a variety of characters to give the shows a lot of personality.
They have a fair bit of violence but are used in humorous/slapstick ways. Aside from the MC's themselves, there is a whole cast of interesting and wacky characters supporting the comedy of the plot.
Maoujou casts more fantasy characters within its fictional setting whereas Kyuuketsuki casts mainly humans and vampires set in a different kind of modern day Tokyo.
Both also have a really cute mascot character in.

Both super funny character-based comedy parodying a trope (vampire hunter, princess in a castle). Both start off kind of weird but build up really likeable and hilarious characters.
