Zettai Karen Children, Coppelion Recommendations
Both Anime orient around the day-to-day lives of three school-age girls' in an unfamiliar or overblown situation as they are special. Due to their "specialty" they are used by organizations for the better of mankind. Both containing themes such as:
- Reason for being; "Am I a Puppet/Weapon for this organization?", etc.
- Discrimination; Inhuman Powers/Genetically engineered. Discriminated against for being above human.
- Family; E.g. Being with those they love./ Non-"traditional" family.
- Life Lessons; Growing up in the world you're faced with and overcoming the hardships.
- Female leads
- "School" setting; Principles, vice-principles, teachers & students.
- "Zettai Karen Children!"; "Absolutely adorable Children" - Kids are cute, and
you'll end up feeling like a parent.
The style seen in Zettai Karen Children is unlike any I've ever seen before. That is to say it's unique in a good way. With around 50+ episodes this anime is very paced which allows for the lengthy character development within its large and diverse cast.
Despite the large cast every character is entirely original in their personalities, they all live as "one-big family" within the (often cramped) confines of the HQ. Which almost always leads to havock in the event of a misunderstanding, its these type of episodes which stray from the main-story which make the characters come alive. It is quite literally the Hogwarts of Zettai Karen Children.
But the large cast isn't everything this series has to offer. Its main arc focuses around the clash or two organizations, with neither really being the villain. Episodes which show Kyosuke as the protagonist lead to the HQ of the Psychic Squad being the antagonist and vice-versa. Thought quite limited in their frequency these episodes change in pace vastly from the norm, usually leading the squad of girls confused as to whom they should believe in[Life lessons]. Though generally these are always entertaining to see.
Overall, it may be too early to say as I've only seen the two latest episodes of Coppelion, though with the way this anime is structured it should be quite similar enough for viewers to also like Zettai Karen Children.
This was my first review so I apologise if this is poorly presented.
