Just like the Kenshin prequel, both are recommended because of the swordplay, romantic drama, and dark theme.
both are considered as de Creme de la creme of samurai anime, by time setting( edo) , clans, fighting skills , gore, violent swordfights ect. also it very reflects about how japan was in the tokugawa era!
