Both heroines (or anti-heroines) are incredibly relatable and amusing to watch. They deal with their problems in similar ways and have a strength of will that elevates them to the god level of their worlds (despite them being ordinary, cat-loving girls who would rather stay inside, watch tv, and avoid all their problems). The cast of characters around them are just as amusing and do a great job of causing mischief that our heroine has to deal with. Both heroines had 'supernatural' beings barge into their life, and they both responded with comedic violence. Lots of introduction of side characters, and breaking the 4th wall
