Both series follow a progression of a friendship between two boys and their love/passion for a certain topic (music and volleyball). Both deal with deeper topics, such as suicide and making amends with the past and are targeted towards a Josei audience.
Only thing that's different is Given is an actual BL whereas 2.43 is not.
Both anime are short shows, Given having 11 episodes and 2.43 having 12, that are considered BL and deal with dark topics (which I won't go into because spoiler reasons). In my opinion, the two shows have very similar vibes. They are extremely feel-good and fluffy during some parts but sad during others. If you liked one of these shows, you're sure to like the other.
