Both series have strong character development for their protagonists and supporting cast members. These series excel at exploring the intricacies of their characters' inner lives while building an interconnected world that feels rich and deep. Each has a very distinct setting, that is used to explore themes such as prejudice, discrimination, and the multilayered complexities of coexistence With each series showcasing thought-provoking ideas and commentary on what I consider to be the human condition. If you are a fan of multi-layered narratives that unfold gradually then these series might just be for you.
It's not the fact that in both shows they represent animals that can talk (even though it's one of the reasons they're so alike) but more the darker plot that both Animes have. I had strong Beastars and Mystery vibes when I started with Odd Taxi.

Both of these use animal characters as a metaphor for social concepts. Unlike Beastars, Odd Taxi switches POV a lot.
Mystery is definitely there
A little bit of comedy
of course if you're a furry fan!

Both use anthropomorphic characters to represent certain vices in society, having sublime writing and fleshed out characters with underlying themes.

The main characters are animals and they can talk. The atmosphere of these anime is very similar in my opinion.
Anthropomorphism. When the very thing you are determines a lot about who you are as an individual. More so, Beastars and Odd Taxi use this to intersect an interesting concept with an engaging story which is built upon interactions and mysteries.
Beastars, the society of both herbivores and carnivores, the inevitable issues that they face as the union of the groups come together. Odd Taxi, a wide range of cast in this huge puzzle of a network connecting the many mysteries that lie.
Both are good anime I'd recommend for those that are looking for something a little more thought to the atmosphere it has and how

The protagonist is a gloomy lifeless guy, he fell in love with a harmless and weak female character. Both of the anime are about animals in a community, living like a human, in other words, Fable. In the anime, there are drama and mystery to it, but in my opinion, beastars has a more deep drama and conflict.
Beastars lowered the bar for furry(ish) animal aesthetic animes since it is sort of based in a realistic world much like our own. Odd Taxi is similarly based in an ''adult'' world and it deals with complex relationships between the characters like Beastars.
The story is not as clearly shaped, it is a mystery story with many many characters but it's still built very well. I liked it a lot.
Both are about anthropomorphic animals living in a pretty depressing human-like world.
A gritty murder mystery starring anthropromorphic animals. Many twists and turns and excellent character design.
they both are set in a anthropomorphic world and has mystery aspects. if you loved beastars, you are very very very definitely gonna love this one

Do you like animals acting like people? What about misterys to solve? Beastars and Odd taxi are similar in that way!
But it's not just about the story (which is so great), the characters and their design are perfect too. Odd taxi surprised me when I first watched it, and I keep a lot of love for it.
Hope you like it too!

If you enjoy the mystery and suspenseful elements of Beastars, I recommend Odd Taxi for a watch. It has an ongoing mystery, with other stories intertwined within, kind of like Beastars, but a lot more shown. Also, both are centered around animals in a human world, that effect the story.
