Both use CGI in a horrible way, and make stories without any textual narrative quality, but it serves as a study of CGI, in case you like it
I don't think the CGI is really that bad, though. In comparison to Ex-Arm, they have worked quite a lot on the expressions of the characters, it's not quite as good as Houseki no Kuni, but I am happy to see some progress in general. In any case, if you like action and are interested in watching some CGI anime, you could give it a shot.
Both anime are peak fiction. No I'm telling you, both of them purposely have a similar comedy outlook in their execution through that nice use of CGI to make that movement flow through it's fluidness and interchanging between 2D and 3D or even combined! Both have a similar storytelling of going to various missions but differently conceptual. Ex-arm is a lot more technological and robotic wise while Tesla note is more physical and natural which what makes their premise very unique in both of their respective ways.
