Both are coming-of-age stories that are honest and upfront about the good, the bad, and the gross parts of becoming a teenager. Makes you feel that good, nostalgic cringe of "I was like that in middle school too." Yabai Yatsu focuses more on boys' romantic and sexual awakenings to girls, whereas O Maidens is of course focused on girlhood. Both include lots of lighthearted comedy to break up heartwarming scenes.
