Dr. Stone heavily revolves around the smart protagonist and problem solving arcs. Kusuriya is no Hitorigoto is very similar in the sense that the main protagonist is uniquely smart in solving societal problems and scandals.
Both have enjoyable and distinctive world building. I loved Dr. Stone's pacing and creative solutions of Senku, so I loved Kusuriya as well for the same reasons.
If you're looking for a cuter Dr. Stone, this is definitely it. The main draw of both of these series is the intelligent main character. The Apothecary Diaries has more of a detective focus like Sherlock Holmes. But the main character is an expert in medicine, which contributes many interesting scenes like those in Dr. Stone.
If you liked Dr. Stone, you should check out The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto). Both have a genius protagonist who uses science to solve problems—Senku with inventions and Maomao with medicine. Instead of rebuilding civilization, Maomao unravels mysteries in the royal court using her deep knowledge of pharmacology.
Like Dr. Stone, this anime makes science fun, turning medicine and deduction into an engaging story. Maomao is just as sharp and eccentric as Senku, always staying ahead of others with her wit and logic. If you enjoyed watching Senku outsmart his world, you’ll love seeing Maomao do the same in hers.

Both MCs are obsessed with science and have great knowledge in those areas, whether its herbs or chemistry, they are both geniuses in their area and they use this knowledge to try and solve mysteries throughout the story. Both are fun and intriguing animes.
