in both series the mc is forced to play a deadly game for his life, in both series the mc is intelligent and uses his mind and his superpower to win all the fight and survive
Similarities:
-The same plot where MC gets involve in some gamer, where it is a matter of life and death.
-The same situation , where the game is not played in some virtual world.
Dissimilarites:
-One was more of a group goal of survival. while the other one was more of a lone wolf.
-One doesn't have a moderator to implement the game rules, while the other one has a modeartor, that does....provided that she can make it exciting.

Average MC gets involved in some battle royale, MC is mainly the only character with brain, most of the cast are similar and doesnt seem to think much while they fight

the characters in both anime have super powers and fight each other in a game. The two MC also have the same goal against the GM of the game.
Both are about a game in which you fight to survive. Both have a nice story and good fights. Probably both are underrated, but are actually worth it.
The premise of the two shows is really similar in how their main character is just a normal human being living a more-or-less normal life until they suddenly get dragged into a brand new world where he, and a bunch of other people, have access to superpowers that they have to make use of in order to survive.
Both anime's are very similar in which the mc of "Deatte 5-byou de Battle" gains a mysterious new power and teams up with a girl (potential love interest) and they fight together to take down the creator of the death game.
1) Both of these anime are based around the MC surviving in a death game
2) Both MC's are apathetic towards people who are not in their immediate group but do care for others
3) Both have smartphones used as a means of working the death game
4) The MCs have an ability that requires them to use it in a smart way. They have to think on their feet on both their own abilities, their opponent's abilities, and their allies abilities
