Darkness, gore and absolute dispair. If you like that kind of style, check em out both. Both mediocre though, they're worth watching for the insane carelessness and hate of most characters in both series.
Plus Gantz has titties.
Well I dislike both but they are similar. Too much gore trying to show evileness of people. If you enjoyed one you would most likely enjoy the other. Gantz has nudity and the like.
Both show a group of people who fight by their lives and freedom in a kind of game whose aim is to kill or to die.
Both are very violent, have brutality, suffering and pain.
Both have a lot of misteries, challenges and conflicts.

There's a lot of similarity to this because in both stories many have to do the unnecessary to in order to survive. Same thing with the points system. You have to keep getting points or otherwise you will die. Many characters do die and it is almost as graphic as gantz. Very Good Anime
Both series has quite a bit of violence and action as the main protagonist's life is changed forever after a certain circumstance.
Both series features the main protagonist in a sort of almost twisted game situation where he feels and is trapped a long with others. There also seems to be a bit of mystery behind the setting that they are in involving their initial circumstances.
Both series features tragedy as well as action, drama, and gore.
Both anime are violent death games in which the characters are forced to fight and kill.

Both give a look into the dark side of society as people fight to survive in world unknown to them.Also in both series the main character seems reluctant to fight but keeps on fighting in order to survive and get revenge on the person/thing who dragged them into all the fighting.
Edgy, gorey and very violence-y, featuring a protagonist thrown into some sort of death game.
Both are decent survival horror sci-fi anime with plenty of body horror, violence, and boobage. Both MCs are lil bitches
