Gantz begins when a boy decides to help an old friend, to save a homeless man from being hit by the train. The boy did not help either, as most of the people present there, he does not really care about the beggar.
They saved the beggar, but they were both killed by the train. And now to have a second chance to live, they have to win a game in which risk their lives.
