Kumoko and Myne are very similar as characters. They both have literal physical challenges and disadvantages to overcome, and use optimism, strategy, and willpower to adapt to and thrive in their new situations. Myne is sick with a serious illness, Kumoko is now a spider. Both characters are passionate and fun to watch with strong character-motivations.
These anime are also both fantasy Isekai where Kumoko and Myne have magic. Honzuki no Gekokujou is goes more for realism where as Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? takes the video-game approach many ieskai do. The tones of the anime are very different, but both are well-written.
