There are supporting characters in both series that becomes obstacles to the duo in their perspective series often creating complications in relationships.
Both anime is about high school and love growing between the two main characters. But Itazura na kiss is throughout their young life until adulthood which is great as it shows 'love' can last throughout high school, university and work. Also if you want comedy next to love then you will truly love the beauty of Itazura na Kiss. Furthermore, the two animes is about opposite attraction. So give it ago.
