They are extremely similar due to their genres and Kana Hanazawa taking the lead of both shows but a main difference is that Katrielle is set in a fictional version of London within the established Professor Layton series whereas Nazotoki is set in modern day Tokyo, Katrielle is also more targeted for children whereas Nazotoki is more targeted for adults but despite different target audiences, they are fun to watch with its thrilling puzzle solving and funny moments.
